14-year-old Vos grows up together with his spiritual mother Grace (45) and his five brothers and sisters in an idyllic natural paradise, closed off from the outside world. When his sister Lente (11) falls seriously ill and his mother gradually slips into psychosis, he escapes to civilization in search of help.
